the third release of the new label >lets get lost< which was started by mule musiq and force of natures kza. this third release is by uk producer extrodinaire leo zeros remix of the uks florence & the machine. this leo zero remix was released on only cd single and itunes in 2009. when i received this remix from the agent of leo zero i fell in love with it immediately. it was one of the biggest tracks for me in the last year but was never released on vinyl. leo zero reconstructed the aesthetic alternative rock (like a pumping cocteau twins!?) to very emotional house music. its simply good music and not only for the dance floor. greg wilson has edited it into a semi instrumental version which has never been released on any format. this release is official bootleg for limited press! dont miss it!!

die nullerjahre des 21. jahrhunderts verbrachte er nach eigenen angaben in einem selbst gew?hlten exil als >would-be folksinger<. lloyd cole, zusammen mit den commotions oder eben solo seit mitte der 80er-jahre eine feste gr®?e im internationalen popzirkus, sehnte sich nach dem spiel mit der band, nach ein wenig rock n roll. die songs dazu hatte er bereits, das geld dazu besorgte er sich von den fans: circa 1000 von ihnen waren bereit, 45 dollar f?r eine de-luxe-version eines albums zu ?berweisen, das von eben diesem geld erst noch eingespielt werden musste. cole rekrutierte eine studioband aus alten und neuen bekannten, u. a. joan wasser alias joan as police woman sowie mark schwaber und matt cullen von coles begleittrio the small ensemble. das ergebnis nennt sich >broken record< und ist das frischste und lebendigste klangerzeugnis, das von lloyd cole seit jahren zu h®ren war. man merkt dem album an, wie gut cole das zusammenspiel mit der band tut, die songs sind auf gewohnt hohem niveau. aus dem would-be folksinger wurde wieder der s?nger einer rock-n-roll-band.

its been 18 months since our first nang release, d-pulses >more<. nestled on that release was an extra ep track called >highway to saturn<. much to our delight it turned out to be a bit of a gem. when it featured on the tirk 02 and kitsune ponystep / jerry bouthier compilations we knew we were all onto something. (cue the overdrive and the interstellar vocal.) slovenian-based, us singer, hannah mancini, provides those cosmic vocals, ably recorded by sare havlicek in sunny ljubljan. after a sly re-titling of the track (to avoid confusion with the original the name has been extended to >on a highway to saturn<) its on to the obligatory over-the-top nang remix package...first up is a new version from d-pulse for those long summer nights. their >australian shore reversion< mix slows down the groove to a balmy evening by noosa shores pace. space-rock, guitar solos, smouldering synths and lazy rhythms all combine to make this one for the beach house. sare havlicek adds a couple of mixes of his own. keeping things hi-energy he goes for the disco jugular with his trademark stabby synths and tight production. nang newcomers, proper heat, strip things back and go for a slow-grooving baltic-disco chugger. rounding off the remix package is japanese based jan ken po (aka max essa). he delivers a dance floor friendly version with a big and bold walking bass riff and tasteful synths
